Our Journey

About Us

From humble beginnings to national leadership, Motidan Construction Sewa is building the foundation of a prosperous Nepal.

Our Journey

Building a Better Nepal

"Our journey is a story of ambition, resilience, and an unwavering belief in connecting the nation."

Visionary Roots (2009–2013)

Tracing back to 2009, founder Mr. Ram Bahadur Gautam, a self-made entrepreneur from Kavrepalanchok, laid the foundation of what would become a nationally trusted brand. Before entering construction, Mr. Gautam excelled in the limestone mining sector, but his vision extended beyond extraction; he dreamed of building the very roads and bridges that would carry the nation forward.

With limited resources but immense drive, the early years were spent in rugged hillsides, supervising excavations and engaging directly with local communities. These formative experiences established Motidan's identity: grounded, dependable, and visionary.

Technical Evolution (2014–2019)

By 2014, Motidan Construction was formally registered as a private limited company and soon acquired its Class “A” contractor license. This milestone allowed us to take on complex infrastructure projects like the Saljhandi–Dhorpatan Road and Dailekh–Chakatra routes.

Unlike many who relied on subcontractors, Motidan invested early in its own fleet of heavy machinery—excavators, graders, pavers, and crushers. This ability to self-perform groundwork gave us a competitive edge in both speed and uncompromising quality.

Motidan Heritage

Over a decade of on-site excellence.

A Legacy of Trust

"What Motidan lacked in size in the early years, it made up for with a hands-on approach and a relentless commitment to fieldwork."

National Force (2020–Present)

By 2020, Motidan had evolved into a national force, executing multi-billion-rupee projects and earning national creditworthiness ratings. Despite global challenges like the pandemic, the company stayed financially resilient and reached NPR 3 billion in annual revenue by 2021.

Today, we maintain an unmatched track record in Nepal’s construction industry: no project failures, no legal disputes, and zero blacklisting. This reputation is built on empathy—often coordinating with local authorities and communities to ensure development serves the people.

From connecting remote villages to urban centers and constructing critical bridges like Dhungri Khola and Bangi Khola, Motidan continues to bridge the gap between dreams and reality.

Leadership

Chairman's Message

"When I look back at how far we’ve come, I don’t just see roads, bridges, or buildings, I see people. I see the early mornings our team spent in remote hills clearing landslides, the long nights spent planning around monsoon delays, and the pride in a worker’s eyes when a project finishes on time. That, to me, is the real measure of our success."

"Motidan Construction was built from the ground up. Not just with machines and manpower, but with belief. Belief that we could do things differently. That we could raise the standard of what infrastructure delivery looks like in Nepal."

"I also believe leadership is not about having all the answers, but about listening... I’ve learned more from sitting with site workers over lunch than I have in any boardroom."

"The work ahead is still massive, and challenges will come, but I believe in our people, in our purpose, and in the path we’re building."
